BB: Returning to the Mass Grave: Against the Daytonesque Condition“
The history of mass graves is the history of humankind, as they have been used as a technique of disposal and protection throughout eras of crisis, from wars to epidemics, with colonialism remaining the deadliest. The mass grave contains incomprehensible terror, and yet it must not be reduced to this single register. This lecture will revolve around returning to the mass grave as a means of disrupting the orders that obscure it, including scholarly epistemic reduction.
