Visiting Fellows Programme
The Visiting Fellow Programme was launched in 2012 and has hosted over 100 scientists at the Centre. CSEES Visiting Fellowship offers advanced PhD students, post-docs, but also experienced scientists the opportunity to conduct research at the Centre for one semester (4 months either from October to January or from March to June). Some of our fellows have used their stay at the Centre to successfully acquire further projects (MSCA Fellowship or FWF projects) and realise them in collaboration with the Centre.
The Centre provides Fellows with research facilities for one semester, including a workspace, access to the library and participation in the Centre's activities.
Visiting Fellows are expected to present their work in a research seminar, discuss their research informally with members of the Centre, and write an article for the Centre's research blog. Fellows are also encouraged to participate in seminars, courses and other teaching and research activities of the Centre.
The Centre does not provide financial support, but encourages applications for various fellowship programmes for visiting scholars, including the Ernst Mach Fellowship(http://www.oead.at/mach).
The application period is from December of the current year to 8 January of the following year.
Applicants from a wide range of disciplines (including history, law, political science, law, anthropology, sociology, economics) will be considered. We also encourage researchers engaged in comparative work (both within the region and between regions and countries) to apply.
