We would like to inform you about our lecture series, “Intersectional Perspectives on Turkey” that will be held online and open to the public.
The first lecture engages with the acts of femicide and violence against women in Turkey by Melek Önder, entitled “Confronting Femicide in Turkey: Causes, Consequences, and Resistances to the Increase of Violence against Women”. Melek Önder is the spokesperson for the Istanbul-based We Will Stop Femicides Platform. The lecture will be introduced by Prof. Dr. Sabine Strasser (University of Bern).
